This class of insurance covers any employee in the insured’s immediate service against injury by accident or disease caused during the period of insurance and arising out of and in the course of employment by the insured in the business and directly related to negligence or breach of common law or statutory duty by the employer.

The company indemnifies the insured against legal liability under common law for damages and claimants’ costs and expenses of litigation in respect of judgements which are in the first instance delivered by or obtained from a court of competent jurisdiction within the Republic of Kenya. In addition it will pay all costs and expenses incurred by the insured with the Insurance company’s written consent.

The limit of compensation to a claimant or claimants will be subject to the limit of liability under the policy.

In the event of death of the insured the Insurance Company infemnifies the insured’s legal personal respresentatives as per the terms of the policy in respect of liability incurred by the insured provided that such personal representatives shall observe the terms of the policy as though they were the insured.

This policy can also be extended to cover employees to and from the place of work or insured’s sites of contracts at an additional premium.
